Liverpool fans wowed by Mohamed Salah latest after pundit’s ‘new contract’ claim

Liverpool fans have labelled Mohamed Salah the “best player in the world” after his impact against Wolves on Sunday (16 February).

The Reds continued their impressive Premier League campaign by defeating Wolves 2-1 with goals from Luis Diaz and Salah himself.

Salah’s goal from the penalty spot was his 23rd of the season in the Premier League as Arne Slot’s men remained top of the table.

Liverpool have dominated the English top flight so far, having only lost one of their 25 games throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

The Reds currently boast a seven-point gap over Arsenal after 25 fixtures while also having the best goal difference in the league.

Salah has played an important part in that with his individual goals, but also his overall attacking output after providing 14 assists in the league alone.

The right winger is leading the Golden Boot charge as the current Premier League top scorer, while he was 100 percent with his attempted dribbles against Wolves.

Salah had 48 touches and also showed his defensive work rate by winning all of his attempted tackles and four duels.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk ‘close to agreeing Liverpool deals’

Salah is having a huge influence on Liverpool’s season, but his future at the club is uncertain as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

The Premier League giants have failed to secure a new deal for the Egypt international throughout the season, despite the consistent performances he’s putting in.

Saudi expert Paul Robinson exclusively told Football Insider that he’s heard Liverpool are close to agreeing new deals with Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.
