Liverpool fans were in awe of Bobby Clark’s “phenomenal” performance against Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday (14 March).

The Reds romped to an emphatic 6-1 victory at Anfield thanks to goals from Darwin Nunez, Clark, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and a Cody Gakpo brace to secure their place in the quarter-finals.

However, supporters were hugely impressed with the 19-year-old midfielder, who notched his first senior goal to help Liverpool to an 11-2 aggregate win.

His constant pressure on the Prague backline helped him score his goal to make it 2-0, but it proved instrumental for Salah’s strike just two minutes later after he regained possession just outside the area before giving the Egyptian the ball.

Before he was substituted for Mateusz Musialowski in the 73rd minute, Clarke managed 92 per cent pass accuracy, four successful ground duels, two successful dribbles and one key pass on top of his goal and assist.
