Liverpool five offers submitted – sources

Liverpool have rejected offers for five senior stars in this transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The club have turned down bids for Wataru Endo, Sepp van den Berg, Fabio Carvalho, Nathaniel Phillips, and Bobby Clark.

That was because Liverpool’s valuations for these first-team stars weren’t met, and they could all still depart Anfield before the 31st August cut-off.

Phillips and Clark are both likely to leave the Premier League giants on permanent deals in this window, according to sources.

Clark is also expected to leave Anfield before deadline day, but he will move on a loan deal.

Liverpool have received lots of attention from Championship clubs for the 19-year-old, while Red Bull Salzburg have had a £6million bid rejected.

Liverpool also turned down a £15million bid for Carvalho, but Football Insider revealed the Saints are now preparing a new and improved bid.

Liverpool will aim to retain some of the in-demand senior players

Van den Berg will stay at Liverpool if a new central defender isn’t signed, as he will provide depth to Arne Slot’s team.

Endo is also likely to remain at the club for next season, even if a new number six is signed.

Liverpool are currently in the market for a wide forward, a number six, and a centre-back as Slot looks to put his own stamp on the squad.
