Liverpool in hunt for explosive attacker scouted by England - report
By Danny Wright
Liverpool are keeping close tabs on Crystal Palace wonderkid Joseph Hungbo, according to a report.
South London Press claims that the English FA have sent their scouts to cast their rule over Hungbo, 17, as he is also eligible to play for Nigeria.
It is understood that England have monitored the explosive attacker on several occasions, including last Saturday when he featured in a Crystal Palace Under-16 side that played against Bolton.
Although Liverpool are interested, they may have to wait some time before they can snap up Hungbo as they are currently banned from signing players from the academies of other English clubs after they were found guilty of tapping up a youngster from Stoke.
Hungbo is no doubt an exciting young player who is capable of playing in a No 10 role or on the wing where he makes the use of his frightening pace.

The fact that England are keeping track of Hungbo suggests that there is definitely some potential in the teenager, but Liverpool are simply wasting their time by being interested in him. By the time their ban has expired, Hungbo may be elsewhere or could also be well known to the point that he doesn’t even need scouting. Crystal Palace’s academy has unearthed some good players in recent history so the teenage sensation could be the next off the production line at Selhurst Park. This report of Liverpool’s interest could ultimately lead to other clubs, who aren’t banned for their transfer activity, in knowing about Hungbo’s talents.
