Liverpool are targeting a summer move for Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi amid uncertainty over the future of Jordon Ibe, Football Insider sources understand.
The Merseysiders are keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old Holland international and are weighing up a bid in the forthcoming window.
El Ghazi has emerged as a key player for Ajax this season and has also attracted interest from AC Milan.
Liverpool’s interest comes amid doubts over the short-term future of Ibe, who is unlikely to leave Anfield permanently in the summer but could be allowed to go out on a season-long loan in order to gain regular first-team experience.

Tottenham and Arsenal have been linked with a shock summer move for the 20-year-old, who is also a long-term target of Watford.
El Ghazi joined Ajax from Sparta Rotterdam in 2013 and has climbed through the ranks of the Dutch giants to make 36 first-team appearances this season. In 26 Eredivisie matches, the 6ft 2in winger, who plays predominantly on the right flank, has scored 11 goals and supplied three assists.
However, Ibe was subsequently restored to Liverpool’s starting line-up for recent Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Swansea, and he came on for an impressive ten minute cameo in the 4-0 rout of Everton a fortnight ago.
The winger was also introduced at half-time in the Europa League semi-final first leg against Villarreal last Thursday ahead of the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke.
