Liverpool learn possible Alisson recovery timeframe as injury expert shares verdict
Alisson could be set for a spell on the sidelines after Liverpool learned how long they could be without their number one goalkeeper.
The Brazilian had to be replaced during the second half of Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray, with Giorgi Mamardashvili coming on in his place for the remaining 30 minutes of the match.
The injury compounded Arne Slot’s defensive issues further with Liverpool slammed against Galatasaray for their poor performance.
The Reds have now not kept a clean sheet in five matches, with Slot criticised for playing Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back and the absence of Alisson could increase his issues further.

Injury expert reveals likely Alisson injury timeframe
As per Physio Scout on X, [1 October], Alisson likely has a grade one to two hamstring injury, meaning the 32-year-old could be out for between two to four weeks.
After the match Slot’s comments suggested that Alisson had a hamstring injury.
“When he sprinted back, he felt something,” Slot said.
“It’s never positive if you go off like this. [Alisson] is definitely not going to play on Saturday.”
Liverpool travel to Chelsea next in the Premier League before the international break where Alisson could miss fixtures with Brazil against South Korea and Japan.

What Arne Slot has said about Giorgi Mamardashvili
Mamardashvili will deputise for Alisson against Chelsea, with the 25-year-old set to make his Premier League debut.
The Georgia international made his debut for the club against Southampton in the League Cup earlier this season.
Slot said the goalkeeper had a “good game” against the Saints but has previously warned him about his position at the club.
Last season Slot said: “In general I can say if you want to play for Liverpool, you have to accept that there is competition.
“That is not only Liverpool but that is in every Premier League club at the moment because of all the money that is in this league but in Liverpool if you don’t want to face competition then it is not the best place to go to.”
The Chelsea clash though will present Mamardashvili with an opportunity to stake his claim that he could oust Alisson as Liverpool’s number one.
