Liverpool midfielder sends message as Frank Lampard agrees Coventry loan signing
Liverpool starlet Trey Nyoni has sent Romain Esse a message after he joined Coventry City on loan from Crystal Palace.
Coventry faced competition in the race to sign Esse, but they announced on Wednesday that they had won the race.
The 20-year-old has featured briefly in the Premier League this season, but was among several youngsters looking to gain more minutes elsewhere.
Coventry looked to sign Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who is also available on loan from Palace this month, but the winger looks set to sign for Swansea City instead.
It has been a busy week at the Coventry Building Society Arena, with Coventry also announcing the loan signing of Yang Min-hyeok from Tottenham on Tuesday.

Trey Nyoni loves Romain Esse signing
Esse joined Palace from Millwall in January last year, with the teenager making the controversial switch in a deal reportedly worth around £12million.
The winger had caught the eyes in the first half of the 2024-25 Championship season for the Lions, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
And he looked to be an instant hit in the Premier League, too, scoring against Brentford, incredibly, with his first-ever touch of the ball in Palace colours.
Esse added an assist against Wolves in the closing stages of the season, and looked to have rapidly found his feet at Selhurst Park.
But this season, the winger has struggled for minutes and has now been granted a move away.
He wrote on Instagram after the move to Coventry was confirmed, and said: “Excited to be here and can’t wait to get started, Cov fans see you very soon.”
Liverpool midfielder Nyoni has played with Esse at the youth level for England, and responded to the post with a heart emoji to show his support.
Nyoni set to be denied loan of his own
Nyoni may have hoped for a loan this season, after he made his first appearances for Arne Slot‘s team last season.
The midfielder, 18, is a hugely exciting young talent, but Liverpool are set to keep him close to the first team for now.

According to The Athletic, despite interest in Nyoni from across the UK and Europe, he is viewed as an important part of Slot’s plans.
The England youth international has made just two brief appearances off the bench in the Premier League this season, but could well be required should injuries hit Liverpool’s midfield.
