Watch: Frustrated Sturridge heads straight down tunnel after Swansea defeat
By Coral Barry
Daniel Sturridge was clearly frustrated with Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat to Swansea on Sunday as cameras caught the striker heading straight down the tunnel after the full-time whistle.
The youngest Liverpool eleven ever to grace the Premier League showed their tender years against a ruthless Swansea side that barely broke a sweat against Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Sturridge struggled to stamp his authority on the game, despite the fact he would have been hoping to convince Klopp he deserved a starting berth against Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.
The striker’s frustration with his performance and the result was clear for all to see when BT Sport cameras captured his obvious snub of the full-time handshakes.

The afternoon was made even worse for Sturridge when Christian Benteke came on at half-time and quickly managed to put the Reds back in the contest with a header from a corner.
Despite the momentary glimmer of hope, Swans merely woke from their slumber momentarily to grab a third goal after some truly shambolic Liverpool defending.
In other Liverpool news, Reds supporters have suggested they should shoot Martin Skrtel into the sun.
