Liverpool news: Van Dijk and Joshua Zirkzee blank each other as footage emerges
Man United striker Joshua Zirkzee and Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk appeared to blank each other in an awkward moment on international duty.
The two Premier League stars were representing the Netherlands on international duty, and unseen footage has now showcased a tense moment.
Van Dijk can be seen rallying his teammates by giving them all high fives before the game, except for Zirkzee.
The two men share an awkward moment where the Liverpool defender simply walks past his Premier League rival.
Of course, the two men could easily have already shook hands without cameras capturing it.
However, fans were quick to pick up on the interaction between them just days after Liverpool thrashed Man United 3-0.
Man United striker Joshua Zirkzee didn’t want anything to do with his teammate
Despite their tense interaction, the Netherlands were able to secure a 5-2 win against Bosnia in the Nations League.
Zirkzee had little luck against his international teammate on 1 September when the 20-time champions faced Liverpool.
It was a comfortable 3-0 win that kept the Reds’ undefeated streak going, while Erik ten Hag was placed under pressure from fans and pundits.

The two men will be on the same team once again on Tuesday 10 September as the Netherlands face Germany.
They will then return to their respective clubs ahead of the weekend where the Premier League will recommence.
