‘Liverpool plan to accept offers for three first-team stars from what I hear’

Liverpool are preparing to entertain offers for Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota ahead of the summer transfer window.

That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Arne Slot is not happy with his current attacking options.

After tying Mohamed Salah down to a new contract, the Reds will now switch their focus to improving their team after a successful Premier League season.

Football Insider revealed on 14 April that Liverpool will consider mega-money offers for Diaz and plan to accept offers upwards of £60million.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a potential move to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and is also a concrete target for Spanish giants Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool, while Jota has attracted surprise interest from Arsenal and would be allowed to leave for the right fee.

Liverpool plan to replace Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez

Brown previously told Football Insider that Slot wants to sign a world-class forward as a replacement for their current options who could leave this summer.

Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted that Slot is open to offers for any of his attacking players this summer.

They’ve finally reached agreements with Salah and Van Dijk,” he told Football Insider.

“Now that will allow them to turn their attention towards the rest of their squad and the positions they feel need to be strengthened.

“From what I hear, Slot is not totally happy with the three forward players Diaz, Jota and Nunez.

“They want to better them in the window and so if they receive good enough offers for them, I think they’ll be prepared to let them go.

“There has been talk of interest in them so that situation might be one to watch.

“They’ll then use that money to sign new forwards who better suit their style.

“It’s important not to lose too many players if you aren’t able to replace them, especially from a title-winning squad, but they feel improvements can be made.”

Arne Slot plans summer spending spree after Anthony Gordon twist

Following agreements with Salah and Van Dijk, Football Insider revealed that Liverpool have been handed a huge boost in the transfer market.

Now that their contract issues are out of the way, the Reds are preparing to strengthen their squad across a number of positions and are already putting plans in place.

Among their priorities are the signings of new attacking options to bolster Slot’s squad, and targets are now coming onto their radar.

Meanwhile, Newcastle could be open to selling Anthony Gordon for a “huge” fee if they are forced to sell before they can buy players this summer.
