By Dominic Toner
Football Insider rates the Liverpool players after their 1-0 victory against Everton in the Premier League.
Simon Mignolet 6 – The goalkeeper enjoyed a fairly quiet game despite spells of Everton pressure.
Nathaniel Clyne 6 – He was tested during a busy first-half and tried to support the attack more after the break.
Dejan Lovren 7 – The centre-back looked the most composed in defence and put in some strong challenges, but was living dangerously on a yellow card.
Ragnar Klavan 4 – He found it difficult to deal with Everton forward Romelu Lukkau and was spared a dreadful afternoon by the opposition dropping off in the second-half.
James Milner 6 – The left-back was busy dealing with Enner Valencia and Seamus Coleman, but managed to overcome his defensive battles eventually.
Adam Lallana 6 – He was unable to unlock the opposition’s defence like he has in recent weeks.
Georginio Wijnaldum 5 – The midfielder failed to offer much attacking threat to the Reds as they dominated possession.
Jordan Henderson 6 – The Liverpool captain was comfortable in possession and delivered a steady performance in front of the defence.
Sadio Mane 8 – The pacy attacker showed some glimpses of his qualities, but was frustrated by the Everton defence for the most. He persevered and grabbed a late winning goal with a simple tap in.
Divock Origi 5 – His recent goal scoring run came to an end after creating very few goal scoring opportunities.
Roberto Firmino 6 – The attacker was sloppy in possession during the match and was denied on several occasions with a save from Joel Robles, plus a goal line clearance from Seamus Coleman.
