Liverpool player ratings v Stoke: 28-year-old is 9/10

COMMENT By Harvey Byrne

Football Insider rates the Liverpool players after their 4-1 win against Stoke in the Premier League.

Simon Mignolet 6 – The Reds’ goalkeeper could have done better for the first goal, but he pulled off some good saves to keep it at just the one.

Nathaniel Clyne 4 – The usually solid England international gave a rare poor performance against the Midlands side.

Dejan Lovren 5 – The defender was one of a few at fault for the first goal after he failed to meet Walters in the air for the header, leaving the Reds on the back foot early on.

Ragnar Klavan 6 – The defence did not come out of the match too well and only further proved that the side are missing Joel Matip.

James Milner 6 – Mr. Dependable didn’t put a foot wrong, but didn’t offer a lot going forward either.

Adam Lallana 9 – The 28-year-old attacker caused problems with his trickery and looked the most dangerous Reds player on the night with a goal to boot.

Georginio Wijnaldum 6 – Done a solid job in the Reds’ midfield without doing anything too noteworthy.

Jordan Henderson 6 – The Reds captain helped control the centre of the park against a physical Stoke side.

Sadio Mane 6 – The 24-year-old  was threatening in attack, but could have done better for the Stoke goal.

Divock Origi 7 – Struggled at times upfront, but he put a good ball in which Giannelli Imbula was only able to put in his own net.

Roberto Firmino 7 – Remained in the line-up after reports of driving offences and justified Klopp’s decision with a classy finish to put his side 2-1 up.

Emre Can (For Adam Lallana 69 minutes) – 6

Daniel Sturridge (For Divock Origi 70 minutes) – 8

Alberto Moreno (For Roberto Firmino 79 minutes) – 6
