Football Insider rates the Liverpool players out of ten after they beat West Ham 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the London Stadium.
Simon Mignolet 7 – Steady performance from the Belgian goalkeeper, who saved his shots and more importantly dealt with his crosses. Another top display on the road.
Nathaniel Clyne 6 – He did his job defensively and as the game grew he linked up well with his attackers on the right-hand side.
Joel Matip 7 – Apart from a few hairy moments early on, the centre-back looked calm at the back and dealt with the danger.
Dejan Lovren 7 – Strong display from the experienced campaigner, who dealt with any aerial threat.
James Milner 7 – An underrated performer, who was a threat going forward and solid defending his side of the pitch.
Emre Can 7 – Steady display from the midfielder, who was picking out some very decent forward passes throughout the match.
Georginio Wijnaldum 7 – A quiet performance in the first half but he grew into life after the break. His stunning effort, which hit the crossbar, resulted in Coutinho scoring the second of the game.
Philippe Coutinho 9 – Best player on the pitch. His movement on and off the ball was too much for the home team added with the fact that he passed the ball around with ease. His assist and first goal were the two standout features of his play.
Adam Lallana 7 – Another player who took his time to grow into the game but became dangerous when he started to link up with his fellow teammates in the final third.
Daniel Sturridge 8 – The 27-year-old will be pleased with his performance and his well-taken goal in the first half. Sturridge seemed to enjoy himself more as the game progressed.
Divock Origi 5 – Only came to life midway through the second period when he scored his goal. Otherwise, the attacker was quiet and failed to cause the opposition any threat.
