Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch reacts to Leroy Sane’s Galatasaray message
Galatasaray new boy Leroy Sane featured in the Turkish giants’ 3-1 win over Strasbourg in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Roland Sallai’s early strike, followed by Baris Alper Yilmaz’s brace, ensured that Okan Buruk’s men emerged victorious over the French Ligue 1 outfit on 26 July.
After notching 13 goals and five assists across all competitions for his former club Bayern Munich last season, Sane attracted interest from Arsenal.
However, the Germany international instead joined Galatasaray, whereas Arsenal signed Noni Madueke from Chelsea to bolster their wing options.

Liverpool’s Gravenberch reacts as Sane shares Galatasaray update
The addition of Sane indicates Galatasaray’s intent to claim their fourth consecutive Turkish Super Lig title.
Their domestic season gets underway when they travel to Gaziantep on 8 August, six days after Buruk’s side face Italian outfit Lazio.
After helping Galatasaray to victory over Strasbourg on 26 July, Sane wrote on Instagram: “Thankful for the warm reception at Rams Park today!”
The 29-year-old’s message attracted a like from Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, who is vying to help the Reds to their second consecutive Premier League title.
Sane will thrive in the Turkish Super Lig
Football Insider verdict
Sane helped Bayern win the Bundesliga title in manager Vincent Kompany’s first season in charge of the Bavarian giants last term by scoring 11 goals and producing five assists in 30 top-flight appearances.

The winger should prove himself as prolific in the Turkish Super Lig, where he will largely face lower-calibre opposition than that of Germany.
Sane’s exploits in the Bundesliga also suggest that he can perform well for Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Contrastingly, the Istanbul club failed to reach the last 16 of the Europa League last season, after being beaten by Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the playoff round last February.
Having excelled against the likes of RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last season, Sane has the tools to succeed for Galatasaray both domestically and in Europe.
The winger has a relatively early opportunity to make himself a hero at his new club when Buruk’s men face rivals Besiktas in early October.
