Liverpool quoted ‘£150m+’ to sign Son Heung-min after forward’s exit stance reported – expert

Liverpool would have to bid at least £150million to tempt Tottenham into selling Son Heung-min this summer.

That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ reported interest in the 29-year-old.

According to Fabrizio Romano (29 May), Sadio Mane has decided to leave Liverpool this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold claimed (29 May) that Jurgen Klopp’s side were going to make an offer for Son Heung-min if Tottenham failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The South Korea international has three years remaining on his contract in north London.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if a move was out of the question, Robinson said: “It would be an extremely ambitious move.

“Son has been Tottenham’s best player this season.

“For Spurs to even turn their head it would have to be £150million. It is no different to how it was with Harry Kane last year.

“It would be hugely audacious from Liverpool. Even if they agreed an astronomical fee, I cannot see Son wanting to leave.

“Liverpool are a massive attraction and they are in a better place than Tottenham right now. But Son has been at Spurs for so long now.

“He has such a great relationship with the fans and people at the club. Spurs are going in the right direction so I don’t think he’d consider it.”
