‘Liverpool senior figures want major Arne Slot talks’
Liverpool are already making plans for Arne Slot’s future despite being yet to complete his excellent first season in charge at Anfield.
The Dutchman faced a huge challenge when he left Feyenoord to take charge on Merseyside, replacing the legendary Jurgen Klopp as Reds manager.
However, he has enjoyed an extremely successful debut campaign in England, with Slot guiding Liverpool to the Premier League title at a canter.
Now it looks as though the club are already planning to take action with regards to the 46-year-old’s position at the club in the wake of that achievement.

Richard Hughes and Julian Ward eyeing new contract agreement
When he arrived last summer, Slot signed a three-year contract which secures his future at Anfield until the end of the 2026/27 season.
But given the immediate and significant impact he has made on Merseyside, it seems the club are already keen to keep him beyond that point.

According to a report from The Mail, the club’s sporting director Richard Hughes and Julian Ward – who is technical director at the Reds owners FSG – may already have big plans for the 46-year-old.
It is stated that claims from the Netherlands suggest both of those key figures at Liverpool are “keen” to offer Slot a new contract at Anfield in the near future.
Such a move would be little surprise, especially considering the club did the same with Klopp after he made a positive impression during the early stages of his time in charge.

Liverpool must agree Arne Slot deal
Football Insider Verdict
With Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk recently signing new contracts at Liverpool, the club are on something of a roll in terms of securing the futures of key figures at this moment in time, even if Trent Alexander-Arnold has confirmed he is moving on.
Moving to do the same with Slot next would surely make a lot of sense for those in charge at Anfield right now.
The Dutchman has been excellent in his season on Merseyside, and you feel with a summer to strengthen the squad coming up, he can take them even further in the years to come.
It is therefore clear that the 46-year-old can be a massive asset if he is kept by Liverpool, and with his contract already starting to run down, other clubs will be aware of that as well.
Missing out on the chance to build something of a dynasty with him would be hugely frustrating for the Reds, but if he does sign a new deal, there will be no threat of that any time soon.
With that in mind, while there are player contracts that need sorting too, a new deal for Slot has to be right at the top of the list of priorities going forward.
