Nathaniel Clyne has revealed that Marko Grujic, Sheyi Ojo and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the three young Liverpool players who have impressed him the most.

England international Clyne believes the future is bright at Anfield, namechecking the trio as up-and-coming stars.

The right-back, 25 has praised the confidence of Grujic, while Liverpool academy graduates Ojo and Alexander-Arnold have also made an impression on him.

“There’s a lot of good, young players out there,” Clyne told Goal. “There are a few. I see some of their games and they are doing really well.

“Sheyi Ojo is really good. Trent Alexander-Arnold is another one who impresses. Marko Grujic is good as well. He is very confident on the ball, he has got a good shot as well.”

At just 20, Grujic has already made three appearances for the Merseyside giants this season in all competitions after his £5million summer move.

Liverpool’s number 16 is also a full international, after earning three Serbia caps and Clyne rates the attacking midfielder highly.

Similarly, Clyne has noticed speed merchant Ojo’s displays in training and for Liverpool’s development side and believes the former Wigan loanee has a bright future ahead of him after making his debut under Klopp in January against Exeter.

Alexander-Arnold, who plays in the same position as Clyne, has also impressed the England international after describing Liverpool’s number two as the “best right-back in the Premier League.”

All three are integral parts to Liverpool’s under-23 side and could be making a regular first-team appearances sooner rather than later.
