Liverpool set sights on signing two goalkeepers after Kelleher update – sources
Liverpool have set their sights on signing a goalkeeper this summer after Adrian departed Anfield.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Premier League giants want at least one shot-stopper to join the club in this window.
Adrian joined La Liga side Real Betis last week after rejecting a contract extension from Liverpool.
The Irishman hopes to secure regular first-team football, which could see his future outside Anfield.
Should Kelleher be sold in this window, sources say Liverpool would be looking for a couple of goalkeepers to provide the necessary backup to Alisson Becker.
Liverpool learned the importance of multiple goalkeepers
Alisson has firmly established himself as Liverpool’s number-one goalkeeper, but last season Jurgen Klopp heavily relied upon Kelleher due to Alisson’s injuries.
The 25-year-old played 26 games across all competitions, including 10 in the Premier League as Liverpool secured Champions League football.
Kelleher is under contract at Anfield until June 2026, but he has made it publicly clear that he now wants to be a number one himself.

At the other end of the field, Liverpool are attempting to sign a winger during this transfer window.
