Liverpool sources: Big Mohamed Salah transfer update today after bust-up
Liverpool will sell Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League in January if results go well while he is away at the Africa Cup of Nations, sources have told Football Insider.
Simone Inzaghi-led Al-Hilal are showing strong interest in the winger, with other clubs in Saudi Arabia also circling.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday that Salah is considering his long-term future at Liverpool, after Arne Slot left the forward on the bench for the third consecutive game.
Salah admitted after the game that his relationship with Slot has broken down in a bombshell interview that throws his and Slot’s futures at the club into huge doubt.
Liverpool fans have called for Slot to be sacked, with the situation on Merseyside rapidly reaching boiling point.

Bombshell interview leaves Liverpool harmony in ruins
Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United on Saturday saw yet another game in which the fragility of Slot’s side was exposed.
The Reds had gone two goals ahead through Hugo Ekitike, but were pegged back by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anton Stach.
| Leeds United | Match stats | Liverpool |
| 45% | Possession | 55% |

Dominik Szoboszlai thought he had won the game for the visitors when he scored in the 80th minute, but Liverpool would let another lead slip when Ao Tanaka converted after a corner scramble in stoppage time.
The draw leaves Slot’s side with just one win from their last six, although the biggest story came after the game.
In an extraordinary interview, Salah said that he no longer has a relationship with his manager, with the winger feeling that he has been “thrown under the bus” by Liverpool.
Both Slot and Salah’s futures have been plunged into doubt by the Egyptian’s words, with decision-makers at Anfield now dealing with potential mutiny within the squad.
Arne Slot explains Mohamed Salah decision
Slot said his decision to leave out Salah was with the opposition in mind but given the fact that the Egyptian has played just 45 minutes of Liverpool’s last three games, that seems hard to believe.
“It is never an easy decision because we know what a great player he is,” he said after the game. “It is up to me to pick the team I think we need today, that is why I made the decision.”
When asked about the winger’s future at Liverpool, Slot said: “We have to accept the situation we are in and I make my decisions based on that.
“The short-term future of Mo is that he goes to AFCON in a week but before that we play Inter and Brighton.”
Salah’s absence against Inter Milan on Tuesday almost feels guaranteed, with the public feud likely set to continue until a final decision is made above.
