‘This is huge news’ – Source: Luis Diaz update emerges from Liverpool
Luis Diaz is ahead of schedule in his knee injury rehabilitation and is on course to make his Liverpool comeback next month, sources have told Football Insider.
The wide attacker, 25, is making good progress in his recovery from the injury sustained in the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal on 9 October.
Diaz returned to his homeland in Colombia to undergo rehab at the national team headquarters and to spent time with his family.

He has now returned to England and Liverpool are confident he will be able to return to full training soon and join the squad at their mid-season training camp in Dubai.
Former Premier League striker Noel Whelan told Football Insider the return of Diaz will be a game-changer.
“This is huge news,” he said on Sunday. “Diaz was in outstanding form before his injury and often looked the best player in the team.
“It will be like a new signing for Jurgen Klopp, who missed him badly when he was out. Perfect early Christmas present.”
The Colombia international is expected to be in contention for the League Cup clash against Man City on 22 December as well as the Premier League Boxing Day showdown four days later against Aston Villa.
The wide man was initially ruled out for around three months by Liverpool after he broke down in the first half of the Arsenal match at Emirates Stadium.
Dias’ cutting edge was sorely missed during his absence even though Liverpool’s attacking issues have not been as problematic as their midfield and defensive issues.
The loss of Diaz, shortly followed by Diogo Jota’s injury, deprived Jurgen Klopp of two elite forwards and meant a heavier reliance on Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino in the glut of games before the World Cup break.

The Colombian’s injury is not as serious as Jota’s, whose rehabilitation could stretch well into the new year.
Diaz has been a shining light since signing from Porto in January for a fee of around £50million and was arguably the team’s outstanding performer this season before his injury.
