Liverpool news: Experts salutes Diogo Jota after private payout behind the scenes
Diogo Jota deserves credit for spending his own money to ensure that he stays injury-free when Liverpool need him the most.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in injury and data analysis.
Jota, 26, missed the opening weeks of 2022-23 with a hamstring injury carried over from Portugal’s Nations League games in June.
The Daily Mail reported last Sunday (2 October) that the attacker is looking to build two new gyms at his £2million house.
Dinnery saluted Jota for “doing everything in his power” to reach peak physical output and help Liverpool turn around their season.
“We need to understand the profile of the player and the role that he plays,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.

“Internally, there will be discussions about how Klopp will want to deploy Jota. We know there have been several hamstring issues of late.
“He had next to no pre-season and is still feeling the after effects of that. This is an opportunity to work with his own PTs and therarpists and minimise the risk of further setbacks.
“Being proactive in this sort of situation is always the preferred method. It’s a good reflection of the player who is trying to do everything in his power to keep fit.
“After what has been a very poor start for Liverpool, pressure is begining to mount on both the manager and the players.”
