Liverpool star Mohamed Salah shares Alisson Becker injury update
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has posted a video of goalkeeper Alisson Becker training as he recovers from his latest injury.
Alisson, 32, has been out of action for both club and country after picking up a hamstring injury in their 1-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace on matchday seven.
The shot-stopper has now missed 40 games through injury for Liverpool over the last five seasons, more than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.
Thankfully for Arne Slot’s side, they’ve been able to rely on Republic of Ireland international Caoimhin Kelleher to step up and provide more than adequate cover for the injury-prone Brazilian.
Liverpool are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League table after Man City suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Brighton, their fourth consecutive loss.

Salah, 32, has been arguably the best player in the Premier League since Arne Slot took over, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in their opening 11 league games.
His fine form makes it all the more bewildering that Liverpool have allowed him to enter the last year of his contract, with the Egyptian’s current deal set to expire next summer.
The winger wasn’t called up to Egypt’s squad for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cape Verde and Botswana, so remained at the club, taking to Instagram to post a video of the gym which included Alisson training.

It remains unclear when Alisson will return to the fold with the club seemingly taking a cautious approach to his recovery.
Slot’s side will hope to continue their remarkable start to the season as they prepare to take on strugglers Southampton on Sunday (November 24).
