Liverpool tipped to sign ‘world-class’ star amid ‘incredible’ verdict – pundit
Liverpool will look to sign a “world-class” attacker this summer if one of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah leaves the club.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ “frightening” attack.
Liverpool’s iconic front three have been joined by Diogo Jota in the summer of 2020 and Luis Diaz in January 2022.

Jota and Diaz, both 25-years-old, look to be the future of the club’s attack, with Mane and Salah aged 29 and Firmino 30.
There are also doubts over Salah’s future with the winger yet to sign fresh terms with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2023.
If one of Liverpool’s older attackers is to leave this summer, Kenny insists the money will be put to finding a new star to play alongside Jota and Diaz.
“That attack is just frightening, look at the options they have,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“No disrespect to the old front three, I know they still have years ahead of them, but Liverpool could look to move one of them on.
“Especially Mane or Firmino because they haven’t been as good as Jota this season.
“If that happens, I think you will see them go out and sign a world-class replacement.
“Then, in five years, you will have seen another incredible Liverpool front three of Jota, Diaz, and this new guy.”

A source close to Liverpool told Football Insider on Saturday (26 March) that the Liverpool board believe Salah will drop his £500,000-a-week wage demands to sign a “huge” deal.
The source explained the Reds’ confidence is partly driven by the lack of alternative clubs that can offer what Salah is asking for.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Liverpool have rejected an offer worth at least “£20million-plus”.
