‘Liverpool to agree Luis Diaz deal’ – fans react to Sky journalist’s update
Liverpool fans were unanimous in their reaction to the latest update on Luis Diaz, as uncertainty continues to surround his future at Anfield.
The Reds have been busy in the summer transfer window, with several high-profile incomings and departures.
Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz arrived in a club-record deal, while they also secured the signings of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and Jeremie Frimpong.
However, the club have also lost key players, most notably Trent Alexander-Arnold, who departed for Real Madrid after allowing his contract to run down.
Diaz is now one of several players with question marks over their future.
Football Insider recently revealed that Liverpool could look to sell Diaz if he expresses a desire to leave, with no progress made on a new contract, which is set to expire in 2027.
Despite Liverpool’s reluctance to sell, interest in Diaz remains strong across Europe and beyond, with several clubs monitoring the situation closely with an update on a club’s pursuit of the winger.

Liverpool reject Bayern Munich bid for Luis Diaz
According to Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports News, Liverpool have turned down an approach from Bayern Munich for Diaz, as uncertainty continues over the Colombian’s long-term future at Anfield.
He added that the Reds made it clear to both Bayern and Barcelona that Diaz is “not for sale”.
Barcelona had previously shown interest in Diaz but have since moved on, with reports claiming they are now closing in on Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams.
While that development is seen as positive for Liverpool, it remains unclear whether the club intend to offer Diaz a new contract.
There is also firm interest from Saudi Arabia, with reports suggesting Al Nassr are considering a £71million bid for Diaz, and he could be tempted to leave if a deal is accepted by Liverpool.
Liverpool fans call for new contract for Luis Diaz
Diaz enjoyed a standout campaign last season, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists in all competitions. He became a key player for Arne Slot, regularly featuring both on the left wing and through the middle ahead of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota.
Despite Liverpool rejecting approaches for Diaz, supporters have now urged the club to resolve the situation by tying him down to a new deal.
One fan wrote: “Offer him a contract extension then if we don’t wanna sell him” while another added: “If he’s not for sale, give him a contract he deserves.”
