‘Liverpool to sign De Bruyne’ – fans stunned by Mohamed Salah’s transfer reveal

Liverpool fans are in unison in their reaction towards Kevin De Bruyne after Mohamed Salah’s admission on the midfielder’s impending exit.

De Bruyne confirmed last month that he will be leaving Man City, but his next destination remains undecided, with no agreement yet in place with any club.

Football Insider revealed that Aston Villa have shown interest in De Bruyne, although his wage demands could prove a stumbling block for the Midlands club.

There is also reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer, but surprisingly, Liverpool have emerged as potential suitors — a move that would undoubtedly send shockwaves across English football.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggested that Liverpool have already made an offer for De Bruyne, although the 33-year-old has yet to come to a decision about his future.

However, after Salah’s recent comments in an interview, fans are now convinced that something could be brewing behind the scenes.

Mohamed Salah sends cheeky Liverpool admission to sign Kevin De Bruyne

In an interview with Gary Neville on Sky Sports, the former Manchester United defender asked Salah for his thoughts on De Bruyne’s exit from Manchester City.

Salah replied: “He’s done a phenomenal job at City, and he was great for the league.

“I really wish him the best… and we have a space for him!”

This came after former City financial adviser Stefan Borson said he would be “extremely shocked” if De Bruyne ended up at Anfield.

But with no deal yet confirmed and De Bruyne still weighing up his options, Salah’s comments have given Liverpool fans reason to dream.

The Belgian midfielder has spent nearly a decade at City, and although he’s had a more limited role this season, he’s still managed to contribute 14 goals and assists across all competitions.

Liverpool fans want to see Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne in the same team

After Liverpool secured new contracts for Salah and Virgil van Dijk, the idea of De Bruyne joining would not only shake up the Premier League but would also signal serious intent from the Reds.

The pair could have shared the pitch years ago at Chelsea, but the stars may have aligned again, with the prospect of them finally linking up at Anfield.

One supporter wrote: “I’d cry tears of happiness if I ever saw De Bruyne and Salah grace the same football team man” while another added: “Liverpool need to do all they can to get him on a two-year deal.”
