Liverpool told to complete ‘£130m’ deal for ‘best player in the world’ after source’s Salah update – pundit
Liverpool should hand Mohamed Salah a five-year deal worth £500,000-a-week, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Salah is the “best player in the world” and deserves to demand the terms of his new deal.
A Liverpool source told Football Insider (October 25) the winger wants £500,000-a-week in a stunning twist to contract talks.

The 29-year-old is out of contract in 2023 and recently expressed his desire, via Sky Sports (October 24), to see out his career at Anfield.
However, Fenway Sports Group are wary of handing him a long-term contract that will expire when he is in his mid-30s.
A five-year deal worth £500,000-a-week would cost Liverpool £130million in wages alone.
“If I was them, I would get that sorted as soon as possible,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It keeps going up. It’s going to keep going up. I’d give him whatever he wants. A five-year deal on whatever wages that he wants.
“He’s proven over the last 10 games that he’s the best player in the world.
“If they don’t give him what he wants then I’m sure he’ll sign somewhere else who will pay him.
“If I was Liverpool, I would give him the money.”

After his hat-trick against Man United at the weekend, Salah has now scored in his last 10 Liverpool games across all competitions.
The Egpyt international has now scored 15 times and provided five assists in 12 games across all competitions this term.
