Liverpool told to complete ‘cheap’ Jude Bellingham deal after Luka Modric news – pundit

Kevin Campbell has urged Liverpool to move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer amid interest from Real Madrid.

The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed any potential deal for the 18-year-old would be “cheap” – with the youngster having the ability to dominate for “more than a decade”.

According to AS (31 March), Real Madrid see Bellingham as a successor to Luka Modric and are preparing a move for the youngster in the summer window of 2023.

Meanwhile, a German source told Football Insider on Wednesday (30 March) that Dortmund are making progress on agreeing a new contract with the midfielder amid strong interest from Liverpool.

Bellingham caught the eye yet again as he claimed his 11th and 12th England caps during the most recent international break.

Campbell insisted the midfield sensation is still developing.

“Watching him play for England, you can just see how he’s improving almost game-by-game,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.

“He’s a top, top player. If Liverpool can sign him this summer – they better.

“There’ll be a lot of clubs out there trying to get him, not just Real Madrid. Because he could be a mainstay in anyone’s midfield for more than a decade.

“Whatever you pay now is cheap. It’s cheap. If Liverpool want to do a deal, and he wants to join – then they better move.”

Bellingham joined Dortmund from Birmingham in 2020 for a reported £22.75million.

He has contributed six goals and 13 assists in 37 games this term.
