Liverpool told to finalise ‘£100m+’ Bellingham deal after inside source’s talks update – pundit

Frank McAvennie claims Liverpool should sanction a £100million-plus deal for Jude Bellingham.

The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the midfielder is worth every penny.

A German source has told Football Insider (22 December) that Dortmund are attempting to tie down Bellingham, 18, to new terms after an outstanding start to the season.

The source explained that Liverpool are among the clubs who have been in touch about enticing the midfielder back to England.

McAvennie claims Bellingham’s move to the Premier League is inevitable and told Jurgen Klopp’s side to make a move.

“Listen, we know how good this kid is,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I think we all know he is going to come back to the Premier League as well.

“It was the same with Sancho, we all knew he was coming back. So now it’s all about who can sign him.

“Bellingham will cost god knows how much, based on what I have seen he is absolutely worth it.

“We’re talking about an established England player and he’s still just a kid.

“They say you can’t buy that kind of experience at that age, let me tell you, you can.

“It will be a massive fee, we’re talking £100million or more. Do I see Liverool doing that?

“I’m not sure if they will but they absolutey should.”

Bellingham has made 21 Bundesliga and Champions League starts among 24 appearances in all competitions.

It is understood Dortmund are attempting to sweeten the deal for Bellingham and his family by also signing his brother, Jobe, who is 16.
