Liverpool will accept ‘big’ Caoimhin Kelleher offer – sources
Liverpool would be tempted to cash in on Caoimhin Kelleher if a “big” offer arrives this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the club will look to cash in on some of their fringe players to leave space for incoming deals.
However, following the departure of Adrian, the club are wary of being caught short for numbers in the goalkeeping department if the Ireland international is to follow.
Football Insider reported on 9 July that the Reds have set their sights on signing at least one new goalkeeper this summer which could directly impact Kelleher’s future.
Liverpool could accept ‘big’ offer for Caoimhin Kelleher
Kelleher, 25, joined Liverpool in 2015, making the move from Irish side Ringmahon Rangers, and made his debut for the club in 2019.
He has also represented the Republic of Ireland on 14 occasions, establishing himself as a regular in the squad and fighting Southampton keeper Gavin Bazunu for the number-one spot.
Last season, he made 26 appearances for Liverpool in the absence of Alisson, who struggled with injury issues, keeping five clean sheets and turning in multiple impressive displays.
Those performances led to interest from clubs both in the Premier League and abroad who were willing to see the goalkeeper given regular playing time.

Football Insider revealed earlier this summer that Kelleher is keen to move to another team in the Premier League to prove his worth as a first-choice shot-stopper.
While no deal has materialised yet, and no clubs have made their interest formal, the Reds remain prepared to cash in if an offer arrives.
In other news, Liverpool are facing a transfer “disaster” as three players could leave.
