Liverpool will ‘definitely’ agree two late deals – Wyness: ‘My sources say…’
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has revealed Liverpool will “definitely” make two late signings before Friday’s (30 August) transfer deadline.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – admitted he understands concerns from fans about a lack of activity this summer.
Giorgi Mamardashvili has wrapped up a move to Liverpool but has gone back to Valencia on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.
The Georgia international is the club’s only signing of the summer window so far.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (26 August) that Arne Slot is keen to bring a centre-back, central midfielder and wide attacker to Liverpool before the transfer deadline.
Liverpool set to follow Mamardashvili deal with two more incomings, says Wyness
Wyness has insisted two more signings are on the way to Anfield.
He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “If I was a Liverpool fan, I would be concerned.
“But my sources are telling me that there will be two definitely coming in.
“There’ll be two incomings at Anfield, they’ve had a great start to the season and played some nice football.

“Everyone’s on board with what’s going on, so there’s no real fan revolution going on – the Liverpool ship is a pretty happy one.
“Two more bodies through the door and that atmosphere will only get better.”
