Report claims Liverpool right-back transfer is a sure thing after fee stipulated

Andre Wisdom will be sold by Liverpool this summer after spending the majority of the past four seasons out on loan, according to a report.

The Liverpool Echo claim the defender, 23, wants to play for an English club next season but he has no future at Anfield and is certain to be offloaded.

It is said that the Merseyside giants will demand a fee of around £4.2million for the right-back in the forthcoming transfer window.

The former England Under-21s captain has spent this season on loan at Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg after spending the previous three campaigns at Norwich City, West Brom and Derby.

Wisdom has made 20 appearances in all competitions this season for Salzburg, who are on the brink of clinching the Austrian Bundesliga title.

The Liverpool Echo report club have been told it will cost them (£4.2million) to buy Wisdom, who has two years remaining on his Anfield contract, on a permanent deal.

Derby are keen to be reunited with Wisdom after his successful 2013-14 campaign at the club and they are currently in pole position to sign him.

The versatile Wisdom, who can play full-back or centre-back but is most comfortable at right-back, joined the Liverpool Academy from Bradford City in 2008.

He has only made 22 senior appearances for the Premier League big hitters and has not played under Jurgen Klopp.

In other Liverpool news, Klopp is confident of signing the next Gareth Bale for a bargain price of just £10million as the deal of the summer edges closer.
