Sheyi Ojo claims Jurgen Klopp wants to give him an opportunity to impress as he steps up his comeback following four months on the sidelines..
Senegal international Sadio Mane is expected to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations in January and a number of Liverpool youngsters are in line to be given a chance to take his place, including Ojo.
Ben Woodburn, Divock Origi and Ovie Ejaria could all challenge for a position in the attacking line but Ojo has been given an opportunity in the past and he hopes Klopp will turn to him again.
The 19-year-old is yet to feature this season after suffering from a back fracture in the summer but he has returned to full training and has featured for the Under-23s in recent weeks.
Ojo played his first full 90 minutes in four months on Tuesday night.

“[Klopp] has mentioned to me that he wants to give me an opportunity which is nice,” Ojo told the Liverpool Echo.
“I’m grateful for that because as a young player you don’t get many opportunities at a massive club like Liverpool. Hopefully I’ll get my opportunity soon.”
Ojo was re-called from his loan spell at Wolves in January and went on to make 11 appearances under Klopp last season before featuring heavily in the pre-season campaign.
He is highly-rated by the German manager and is a threat for Liverpool in attack because he has a lot of pace and isn’t afraid to take on defenders.
The Liverpool star has been used in a wide attacking role in a number of occasions and would be a like-for-like replacement with Mane, which would be ideal for the Reds.
In other Liverpool news, on this day in 2004, Steven Gerrard scored one of the club’s most famous goals.
