Liverpool’s three-man priority signing plan revealed
Liverpool are prioritising the additions of a new striker, centre-back and left-back in the upcoming transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that a new centre-forward is the top priority at Anfield, while Slot is aiming to strengthen the quality across his team.
Their transfer business will also be dictated by player sales, with the likes of Darwin Nunez expected to leave the club and open space for incoming deals.
This comes after Football Insider revealed Nunez looks certain to leave Liverpool and will likely choose between a move to the Saudi Pro League or La Liga.
His departure will allow Slot to bring in a new out-and-out striker amid links with the likes of Alexander Isak and Ollie Watkins ahead of the window.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 12 April that Liverpool are planning a busy summer window in the wake of Nunez’s departure.

Liverpool targeting Milos Kerkez, Marc Guehi, Dean Huijsen deals
The addition of a new left-back has risen up their list of priorities amid doubts about the performances and longevity of Andy Robertson as the first-choice full-back.
Football Insider revealed on 9 May that Liverpool are confident of signing Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, who has emerged as their top target for the role.
The Reds’ transfer plans were also set to be dictated by whether they could pin down Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk down to new contracts, which they have now done.
Van Dijk’s contract extension has provided a major boost, but Football Insider revealed Liverpool want to sign a new centre-back regardless of the captain’s future.
Links to the likes of Dean Huijsen and Marc Guehi have emerged in recent weeks as they continue to assess their options to strengthen at the back.

Denzel Dumfries, Jeremie Frimpong updates emerge at Anfield
Another key position ahead of the transfer window at Anfield is right-back, where Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit is set to leave a hole in the side.
Football Insider revealed that Liverpool will snub Denzel Dumfries and Jeremie Frimpong, however, as they do not fit the profile Slot is looking for.
Dumfries, 29, and Frimpong, 24, are more suited to playing as attack-minded wing-backs which the boss does not typically use in his 4-3-3 system.
This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are unlikely to move for Frimpong this summer.
