Llorente predicted to snub move after Leeds source's 'huge' transfer reveal - Whelan
Noel Whelan has suggested Diego Llorente would snub a move away from Leeds United this summer amid growing interest.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the centre-back would want to continue developing under Marcelo Bielsa after establishing himself in the starting XI.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider the Whites are aware of rival interest and are expecting “huge” bids for the 27-year-old.
However, the Yorkshire giants have no intention of selling the defender a year after his £18million move from Real Sociedad.
Whelan insisted Leeds would not want to sell the defender this summer.

He also suggested Llorente himself may turn down a move.
Whelan told Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge: “If you ask a player now, when he’s doing so well in the side at a very, very good football club with big things and big plans, would he want to go anywhere else?
“Probably not, no. He has only just settled into life at Leeds. We’re not a club that will be teased or tempted into letting any new players that we’ve bought go. That is our building block for what we’re going to buy in the summer.
“We’ve got to add the quality that we’ve already got, to make it more entertaining next season. It’s going to be more of a challenge to be a permanent fixture in the top ten in the Premier League, if not better.
“It is flattering. It means Victor Orta is doing his job right.”
Llorente struggled with injuries early in his Leeds career and made just two league appearances before the end of February.
However, he made 13 consecutive starts before the end of the season.
