Loan watch: Tottenham 21-year-old continues spectacular run
By Dominic Toner
Connor Ogilvie is currently enjoying a fantastic spell away from Tottenham and has been a huge success for League Two club Stevenage.
The 21-year-old is impressing during his loan spell and helped his side record a 2-0 victory over Luton on Saturday, keeping his unbeaten run this campaign intact.
The result means Stevenage are now fourth in League Two and are one of the main contenders for promotion this season.
Ogilvie re-signed for Stevenage in the January transfer window after spending time at the Lamex Stadium last season.
The defender has been influential since his January move and is undefeated in nine matches.
The left-back has helped Stevenage win eight of their last nine games in the league and is a main driving force behind their spectacular run.
He spent the first half of the season playing for Spurs’ Under-21s side, but moved away from White Hart Lane to experience regular first-team football.
The Football League Paper named Ogilvie in their team of the week after his display against Luton alongside his defensive team-mate Luke Wilkinson, as cited by their official Twitter account.
Ogilvie faces an uphill battle to force his way into the Spurs squad as Danny Rose and Ben Davies are currently vying for the left-back position in the first-team.
However, he is one the loan players impressing this season and will surely have caught the attention of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
