Tottenham loanee Luke Amos will make his professional debut for Southend on Saturday.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been named in the starting line-up for the League One side for an important clash against Walsall.
Amos completed a move to Southend in the January transfer window and will get his first taste of senior football at the weekend.
Southend manager Phil Brown has given the defensive midfielder the chance to impress from the start, as cited by the club’s official Twitter account.

Amos has joined Southend until the end of the season and has been rewarded with a huge step in his career.
The Englishman will hope to make an impact and will be under huge pressure as the club push for a play-off spot in League one.
He has been a regular in Spurs’ youth teams and even captained the Under-23s this season.
The north London club decided to send the academy star on loan in January to help him further his career and Amos will hope to follow in the footsteps of striker Harry Kane.
Kane is now regarded as the most crucial player at White Hart Lane and benefited from loan spells at the likes of Millwall and Leicester as a youngster.
Meanwhile, academy graduate Harry Winks has managed to break into the first-team set-up this season and is now a regular under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentinian boss has shown a willingness to integrate the club’s youngster into the senior squad and Amos will be hoping to follow that path in the near future.
In other Tottenham news, Pochettino claimed that the club’s 22-year-old needed a wake-up call.
