London Premier League rivals Crystal Palace have launched an eight-figure bid for West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports transfer reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon that the 27-year-old Senegalese frontman is currently in France after passing a medical with Ligue 1 outfit Rennes.
However, in a last-ditch effort it is also said that the Eagles have made a £10million bid for the Hammers ace with just hours left of the current transfer window.
Crystal Palace have made £10m bid for West Ham forward Diafra Sakho. He's in France after passing Rennes medical

Sakho has featured in all four of West Ham’s first team matches this season, returning a goal in the EFL Cup victory over Cheltenham, while coming off the bench against each of Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle.
However, he has also gone into the final year of his contract at the London Stadium and injuries in the last campaign limited him to just four outings in all competitions, meaning the Hammers may be open to letting him go.
Football Insider verdict:
Sakho was close to joining West Brom last summer, but injuries prevented him from making the move as he failed the medical. It would now seem that, that was just delaying the inevitable and West Ham may have finally given up on the injury plagued striker. However, one slight worry for the Hammers is that after Javier Hernandez they have just the injury prone Andy Carroll and Sakho in the natural striker pecking order. That means West Ham now need to make a decision on whether to risk losing Sakho for free next summer, or to risk leaving their squad short over the duration of the 2017-18 campaign.
