Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to bid Marco Silvestri farewell after he sealed a move to Hellas Verona.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has joined the Italian outfit for an undisclosed fee and has penned a deal which ties him to the club until the summer of 2021.

Silvestri becomes Verona manager Fabio Pecchia’s ninth signing of the summer as he follows Marco Fossati, Alessio Cerci, Gian Felicioli, Nicolo Cherubin, Thomas Heurtaux, Daniele Verde, Bruno Zuculini and Antonio Cassano through the doors at the Stadio Marc Antonio Bentegodi.
He spent three seasons at Elland Road having arrived in the summer of 2014, and he made 98 appearances across all competitions for the club.
However, last term he only managed to play six games as Rob Green became the Yorkshire giants’ number one choice shot-stopper.
The trio of goalkeepers left on Leeds’ books are new signing Felix Wiedwald, Green and Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The Elland Road faithful took to social media to bid Silvestri farewell, and they were largely respectful in doing so.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter.
Had your ups and downs Marco, all the best for the future.

Remember that one good game he had against Boro when we had to defend Mowatt's one goal lead for 89 minutes. Good times.

Silvestri was capped once by Italy Under-21s in his youth, but he is yet to receive a call-up to the senior side.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club’s mainstay is facing the axe in the summer.
