Lucas Digne reacts as John McGinn shares Aston Villa future hint
Lucas Digne has reacted to a hint issued by Aston Villa captain John McGinn amid speculation surrounding the midfielder’s future.
After excelling for the West Midlands club once again last season, McGinn has attracted interest from Premier League rivals Everton.
The Toffees are keen to strengthen their ranks ahead of David Moyes’ first full season since returning to the Merseyside club’s dugout in January.
Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Aston Villa have rejected Everton’s enquiry for McGinn, but the North West side will make another move for his services if Unai Emery’s men add midfield reinforcements.

Digne reacts as McGinn shares major hint he is staying at Aston Villa
Amid the news that Moyes’ side will reignite their interest in McGinn if Emery bolsters his midfield, Aston Villa have joined the race for Conor Gallagher.
Gallagher enjoyed a strong debut season for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid, notching four goals and six assists last term, showing he could be a McGinn upgrade for Villa.
However, taking to Instagram on Monday, 14 July, the Scotland star shared photos of himself training with the West Midlands club, captioned: “Season number 8 let’s go” alongside a purple heart emoji.
McGinn’s hint that his future lies at Villa Park attracted a like from teammate and former Everton defender Digne.

Meanwhile, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Newcastle and Tottenham are keen on Gallagher, who helped Atletico qualify for the Champions League.
After making 32 La Liga appearances as Diego Simeone’s men finished third in the Spanish top flight, the Chelsea academy graduate will not want to give up the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
Both Newcastle and Tottenham can offer him the chance to play in the biggest competition in European club football, whereas Aston Villa will be competing in next season’s Europa League instead.
Consequently, Gallagher would favour a move to either Spurs or Eddie Howe’s side, instead of joining the Villa Park outfit, meaning that Emery will not facilitate the sale of McGinn.
Elsewhere, Emery has been tipped to send new addition Yasin Ozcan out on loan in a Villa News exclusive.
