Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford respond to Alexander-Arnold’s message after Spanish-speaking arrival

Trent Alexander-Arnold posted a heartfelt message for supporters following his arrival at Real Madrid – and Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal stars responded to his unveiling message.

While Liverpool celebrated a remarkable first season under Arne Slot, which ended with a Premier League title, it was a bittersweet moment for the academy graduate.

It had already been confirmed that Alexander-Arnold would be leaving Liverpool on a free transfer, with a move to Real Madrid lined up and agreed.

With Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk committing to new contracts, the full-back has opted to start a fresh chapter in his career — and will do so under Xabi Alonso in Spain.

Ahead of the Club World Cup, the 25-year-old was officially unveiled by Real Madrid on 12 June and shared a message with fans that drew plenty of reaction.

Following the event, Alexander-Arnold shared a post on social media featuring images of himself and his family on the Bernabeu pitch, wearing Madrid colours for the first time. He simply captioned it: “Family is everything.”

The post drew a wave of support, with Jude Bellingham and former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson responding with heart emojis. Club legend David Beckham also commented: “Congrats friend and welcome to a great club.”

Other high-profile names including Marcus Rashford, Luis Diaz and Bukayo Saka also showed their support by liking the post.

When rumours of his departure intensified, Alexander-Arnold was met with boos from some sections of the Liverpool fanbase. However, that tension appeared to ease, with a warmer and more appreciative send-off given to him on the final day of the season at Anfield.

Although his contract was originally due to expire at the end of the month, Real Madrid pushed through the transfer early to ensure the Englishman can be included in their Club World Cup squad.
