Luis Diaz, Anthony Gordon: Big news today on Liverpool double deal – sources
Liverpool will listen to offers for winger Luis Diaz this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the 27-year-old could be prised away from Anfield during the off-season amid interest from top clubs in Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are keen on a potential deal for the former Porto star, who has shone for Liverpool since arriving in 2022.
The Reds are looking to improve their winger options and made an approach to sign Newcastle United ace Anthony Gordon, who plays in the same left-sided attacking position as Diaz, in recent days.
Diaz could be the casualty if the new-look transfer committee at Liverpool manage to bring a new wide man to the club this summer.
It is understood that Liverpool initially enquired to Newcastle about Gordon, but their rivals were only interested in doing business if Jarell Quansah could move to St. James’ Park as part of the deal.
Liverpool are preparing a fresh approach for Gordon after a breakdown in talks over a swap deal.
Liverpool could sell Diaz as winger plan revealed
Diaz is currently playing with his country at Copa America in the United States and has scored once in two appearances at the tournament.
He was a virtual ever-present last season, making 51 appearances for Liverpool and starting in 42 of those outings.
Diaz notched 13 goals and five assists as Jurgen Klopp’s side finished third in the Premier League in the 2023-24 campaign.

The winger joined from Porto in 2022 and signed a five-and-a-half-year deal, which is yet to be renewed.
He has won an FA Cup and two League Cups during his time in England, scoring 24 Liverpool goals.
