Luis Diaz reacts to Darwin Nunez’s message as Liverpool double-exit beckons
Liverpool forward Luis Diaz reacted to an update from teammate Darwin Nunez amid increasing speculation that both could be heading for the exit this summer.
Nunez endured a frustrating season under new head coach Arne Slot, having slipped behind the likes of Diaz, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo in the attacking pecking order.
The Uruguayan started just eight Premier League matches across the campaign, and his lack of regular game time has fuelled reports of a potential departure.
Football Insider revealed that Liverpool are prepared to part ways with Nunez, who is expected to leave Anfield in the coming weeks, with interest growing from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
While no formal bid has been lodged, it’s believed Liverpool would be open to a cut-price deal for Nunez in order to move the striker on.
Amid the speculation, Nunez shared an update for supporters, which prompted a reaction from Diaz, adding further intrigue to the uncertainty surrounding both players’ futures.

Darwin Nunez sends pre-season update amid Liverpool exit speculation
Despite growing rumours over a potential departure, Nunez has travelled with the Liverpool squad for their pre-season tour in Hong Kong.
The striker reshared the club’s official image of him arriving at the training ground, which was captioned: “Stretching off after touching down.”

The post drew engagement from several teammates, including Alexis Mac Allister and Diaz—who himself has also been linked with a Liverpool exit rumours in recent weeks.
Although part of the pre-season squad, reports suggest that Nunez remains keen to leave Liverpool this summer, having previously been denied a move during the January window.
Since arriving in 2022, he has registered 40 goals and 26 assists in 143 appearances across all competitions, with just 25 of those goals coming in the Premier League.
Luis Diaz wants Liverpool exit as Bayern prepare fresh bid

With Nunez expected to move on, he may not be the only forward heading for the exit at Anfield.
Football Insider revealed Diaz is also considering his future at Liverpool, with Bayern Munich preparing to return with another offer after seeing an initial bid rejected.
The Colombian is said to be open to a new challenge, and some Liverpool supporters have urged the club to cash in on Diaz to generate funds for reinforcements.
He has two years remaining on his current contract, and with no sign of an extension being discussed, a departure this summer remains a real possibility.
