Luis Diaz responds to Jarell Quansah’s message after Liverpool deal agreed
Jarell Quansah will soon be joined in the Bundesliga by Luis Diaz after Liverpool agreed a £65million deal to sell their number seven.
Liverpool‘s massive summer of transfers shows no signs of slowing down with almost £300million spent already, and the club’s transfer record broken to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116.5m.
Leverkusen and Liverpool had already done business to bring Jeremie Frimpong to Anfield for £29.5m in June, and the Bundesliga side spent a portion of those two incoming fees to sign Quansah on 2 July.
Quansah‘s £30m move to the BayArena is Liverpool’s biggest outgoing transfer of the summer so far, but that fee is set to be dwarfed in the coming days as Bayern Munich close in on a huge deal for Diaz.
Sources have told Football Insider that a full agreement is now in place after Liverpool accepted an improved offer from Bayern for the Colombian.

Quansah gets ‘back to it’ with Liverpool exodus on the cards
As well as Frimpong and Quansah, Liverpool have also spent a further £69m to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, and another move between Anfield and the Bundesliga is now in motion for Diaz.
The Athletic reported on 27 July that Liverpool and the German giants have agreed a £65.6m deal for Diaz, after Football Insider revealed that Bayern had already seen a £59m offer rejected two days prior.
Diaz’s imminent move to the Allianz Arena will cost more than double the £30m spent by Leverkusen to sign Quansah, who made his debut for Die Werkself in a 2-0 friendly win over Vfl Bochum on 27 July.
Quansah took to Instagram to mark his first match in the colours of his new club, and in a post liked by Diaz, he said: “Back to it.”
Diaz departure to kick-start Liverpool’s Alexander Isak raid
Football Insider Verdict
Both Diaz and Darwin Nunez were left out of Liverpool’s squad to face AC Milan in a friendly on Saturday amid the speculation over their futures, and that speculation is set to come to fruition for the Colombian.
Liverpool plan to sell the duo alongside Harvey Elliott in order to fund another record-breaking transfer this summer, after identifying Newcastle’s Alexander Isak as their number one target after Wirtz’s arrival.
Isak has downed tools at St. James’ Park with Liverpool increasingly confident they can agree a potential £150m fee with Newcastle for the striker, and Diaz’s imminent exit could see this eye-watering deal take a huge step forward.
