Luis Palma to quit social media to save Celtic career – report

Celtic winger Luis Palma will take a break from social media and focus on regaining his form after falling down the pecking order at the Glasgow club.

According to Honduran outlet El Heraldo, the 24-year-old is determined to prove his worth to manager Brendan Rodgers despite being pressured to leave the club by fans on social media.

Palma impressed in pre-season, scoring against Premier League giants Man City and Chelsea but has only played 46 minutes of competitive football for the Scottish champions so far this season.

The left-winger was part of the squad who were humiliated by Borussia Dortmund in their 7-1 Champions League defeat on Tuesday (October 2) but failed to step out onto the pitch.

Domestically, Rodger’s side are a completely different kettle of fish, sitting pretty at the summit of the Scottish Premier League with a 100 per cent record.

Palma was given an opportunity to impress in Celtic’s 5-2 League Cup demolition of Falkirk but failed to grasp it and was replaced by Hyun-Jun Yang on the hour mark.
