Luke Ayling aims humorous dig at Leeds ace after website blunder

By Harvey Byrne

Luke Ayling aimed a humorous dig at teammate Chris Wood after the star striker called out the Leeds website for not including him in a list of players to have featured for Birmingham also.

The Yorkshire giants are currently preparing to face the Midlands club on Friday evening, prompting the official website to run an 11-man list of players who have played for both clubs.

However, while they included current loanee Kyle Bartley they made a blunder in not including top scorer Wood, who spent a loan move in the Midlands for half of the 2011-12 season.

The New Zealand international noticed he had been left out and shared on his personal Twitter account that he had been forgotten.

However, Ayling saw it as an opportunity to fire some shots at his teammate and he jokingly asked who had he not played for.

Wood has played for 11 different clubs after breaking through with New Zealand outfit Waikato FC in the 2007-08 season.

However, with 23 goals from 37 matches for Leeds in all competitions this season fans will certainly hope he stops moving across the country and settles with Garry Monk’s outfit for years to come.
