Luton Town fans are all saying the same thing after Nottingham Forest points deduction twist

Many Luton Town fans are now confident that they will survive relegation this season after Nottingham Forest were hit with a points deduction.

Forest were handed a four-point deduction on Monday (18 March) for a breach of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

This meant that the Hatters leapfrogged the Reds to move outside the relegation zone and into 17th place on 22 points, while Forest now sit 18th on 21 points.

Most tipped Rob Edwards’ side to head straight back to the Championship this season due to a lack of investment in the summer and for having a weak squad.

Luton fans confident of Premier League survival

While they have been near the bottom for the majority of the season, they have shocked many with gutsy performances and surprise victories.

The Hatters have beaten the likes of Brighton and Newcastle United this season while also going toe-to-toe with heavy hitters like Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool.

Recent late equalisers against Forest and Crystal Palace have given supporters hope of a miraculous survival, and the massive blow to the Reds has boosted their confidence even more.

Fans have taken to social media to react to the huge news.
