Maddison and Solanke react to Richarlison’s return message amid Tottenham exit links
James Maddison and Dom Solanke have each reacted to a new message from Tottenham teammate Richarlison amid whispers of him potentially leaving the club this summer.
Richarlison has struggled to ever make a real impact at Spurs since his move to North London from Everton for an initial £50million [The Guardian] back in 2022.
The Brazil international netted just five goals last season amid numerous injury issues, and could be set to depart the Lilywhites this summer as a result.
Football finance expert Stefan Borson revealed to Football Insider in May that Richarlison is facing an uncertain future at Spurs this summer as the club look to sell players to raise funds for unpaid debts.
Everton are not set to pursue a deal for Richarlison after Football Insider had revealed that David Moyes was set to hold internal talks over a potential move for the Tottenham forward, and an overseas move instead looks likely for him in the coming months.

Richarlison shares pre-season update on social media
Football Insider revealed on Monday, 7 July, that Richarlison is ready to leave Spurs soon, with sources close to the club saying that he is likely to be the one sacrificed to make room in the squad as Mohammed Kudus closes in on a move to the Lilywhites.
The Brazilian is still a Tottenham player for now, however, and he took to Instagram on Wednesday (9 July) to post a new update of him back in pre-season training at the club’s training ground alongside the caption: “25/26…”
Richarlison’s return message was reacted to by a number of his teammates, with Maddison, Solanke, Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro and Radu Dragusin all liking his post, with Murillo, Evanilson, Rodrigo Muniz and exit-linked Man United forward Antony all following suit.
Everton should make a move for Richarlison
Football Insider verdict
Even though previous reports have stated that Everton are not set to make a move to take Richarlison back to Merseyside this summer, they should seriously re-consider their options and look to take him on a season-long loan.
Spurs may well be unwilling to loan the 28-year-old out, given the fact they need to raise sales, but it does not look as if any other clubs are concretely interested in him right now, so the longer that goes on, the more open they may be to a temporary exit.
Richarlison became a Toffees hero in his four years at the club between 2018 and 2022, and so would surely entertain a return, especially with David Moyes at the helm, a brand-new stadium to play in, and Everton looking to push back into European contention in the coming years.

He also has two years left on his Tottenham deal, and his stock is probably as low as it has ever been right now, so a successful loan spell next term could well mean they are able to sell him for more next summer than what they could demand in the coming months.
As well as the fact he is obviously a talented striker who has a strong connection to the club and fans, signing Richarlison would make sense for the Toffees regardless, as they are in need of a new centre-forward after Dominic Calvert-Lewin recently departed Merseyside at the end of his contract.
