Maguire and Trippier react to Harry Kane’s message amid ‘Liverpool transfer’ claim
Harry Kane’s passionate social media post earned reactions from his England teammates after an anniversary with the national team.
Kane has enjoyed an exceptional spell at Bayern Munich, netting 82 goals across two seasons and recently lifting the Bundesliga title for the first time.
Bayern secured the title with two games to spare, and Kane was pictured celebrating alongside Eric Dier, with both players marking their league triumph at the club.
Since moving to Germany, the England captain has continued to be linked with a return to the Premier League. There’s particular attention on his pursuit of Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goalscoring record, sitting just 47 goals shy of the legendary total.
TalkSport’s Ally McCoist recently suggested Liverpool should target Kane this summer as they search for a new striker to lead their line. However, the 31-year-old has shown no signs of distraction.
Kane posted a heartfelt message on social media and it didn’t go unnoticed as he marked an anniversary with the national team.

Harry Kane celebrates seven years as England captain with heartfelt message
Kane marked a major milestone as he commemorated seven years since being named England captain with a passionate message on Instagram.
He wrote: “Seven special years as England captain.
“Always so proud to represent my country, looking forward to making many more memories in this shirt.”
The post quickly gained attention with Harry Maguire, Kieran Trippier, and former Tottenham teammate Son Heung-Min among those showing appreciation by liking the post.
Kane boasts an incredible international record, having scored 71 goals in 105 appearances—making him England’s all-time leading goalscorer. With his sights clearly set on continuing his international journey, Peter Shilton’s long-standing record of 125 England caps could soon be broken.

Liverpool target Harry Kane as search for new striker intensifies
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Kane, who is open to returning to the Premier League.
Kane has remained a prolific force since joining Bayern Munich, and with just 47 goals needed to surpass Shearer’s Premier League record, a move back to England could put that landmark within reach.
Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson added that any transfer involving Kane would likely cost upwards of £100 million.
However, with Arne Slot’s side in need of a proven goalscorer, a deal for the England captain would be a major statement of intent at Anfield.
