Man City 115 charges: Big update on hearing date emerges – sources
Manchester City could see the hearing over the 115 charges aimed at them take place in October this year.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed he expects the case to still drag on for some despite the Premier League admitting a hearing date has been set.
Man City were handed 115 charges by the governing body in February 2023 for allegedly breaching the FFP rules over a nine-year period.
Although an unknown hearing date has been set, Football Insider revealed on 27 April the matter is unlikely to be resolved before the end of next season due to the complexity surrounding the case.
O’Rourke revealed the Citizens are likely to appeal against any potential punishments after their lawyers have been adamant the club hasn’t done anything wrong.

This issue has already dragged on for more than a year, leaving various stakeholders frustrated about how the case has been handled.
Premier League chief Richard Masters revealed on 26 April the hearing will take place in the “near future”, but he didn’t divulge any further details.
Football Insider revealed on 28 April that Man City could be relegated to the Championship if they are found guilty.
O’Rourke admitted the charges looming over the Citizens have done Pep Guardiola and his players a “disservice” as he believes they have been one of the greatest sides to play in the Premier League.
The Spanish boss is looking to add another league title to his trophy cabinet this season, with his side currently locked in a close title race with Arsenal.
