Man City 115 charges: Keith Wyness shares major update on verdict today

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed the public may not hear anything about the 115 charges case at Man City until Easter in 2025.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested the secret hearing in London will not finish until the end of November.

Man City and the Premier League have been locked in an independent hearing over 115 alleged breaches of financial rules, which top-flight chiefs say occurred between 2009 and 2018, since mid-September.

In a new twist, The Times have claimed (13 November) that Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Man United have “lodged legal notices reserving the right to seek a payout if City are found guilty of serious breaches”.

However, the Etihad Stadium club have always maintained innocence and insist they have irrefutable evidence to prove it.

Man City 115 charges update may not come until Easter 2025, says Wyness

Wyness suggested the public won’t be given any details until next March.

He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I’ve looked in my diary and we’re coming into the 10th week of the hearing now.

“They’d always thought it could take around 12 weeks, so we’re looking at the end of the month or the start of December for it to finish.

“There is then Christmas, deliberations, examining witness statements, etc. So I don’t think we’ll get anywhere close to hearing anything until Easter.

“That will be around March, and that’s when I expect to hear about some movement.

“It certainly seems to be dragging on forever. It’s a lot of evidence, a lot of examination – but we’re getting towards the end.”
